Fishing on the coast

Playa Bandera is a locally documented shore-fishing option. Fishing is prohibited at the Manuel Antonio and Marino Ballena national park beaches. Other locations require confirmation of the exact spot and current rules.

Open Beach details & nearby stops on any beach card for its fishing guidance.

Before fishing: confirm the applicable shore/kayak fishing permit with INCOPESCA, plus current closed seasons, protected species and restrictions at the exact location. A permit does not override national park rules. Keep hooks away from beach users, remove all line and tackle, and avoid dangerous rocks or rising-tide routes.
