Make the journey an experience
Tárcoles and the Central Pacific area work well as sightseeing stops on transfers between Manuel Antonio and San José/SJO or Monteverde, in either direction. Stops are optional, subject to timing and availability, and charged separately from the transfer.
Tárcoles River Boat Tour

Tárcoles is on the Central Pacific corridor used to connect Manuel Antonio with the destinations below. Arrange a river tour during the journey, in either direction, rather than as a separate round-trip excursion from your hotel.

Approximately 1 hour 40 minutes on the river and through the mangrove ecosystem with a bilingual guide. Look for crocodiles, scarlet macaws, coastal birds and other wildlife; sightings vary.
Carara National Park Guided Hike
$85 USD + tax per person
Approximately 1.5–2 hours in the transition forest between Costa Rica’s dry North Pacific and humid South Pacific. Includes a certified naturalist guide and park entrance tickets.
Add a brief Tárcoles crocodile-viewing stop and a local restaurant lunch stop. Lunch is paid directly by guests. Allow approximately 6–7 hours for the complete transfer, hike and lunch, depending on your route and traffic.
Poás Volcano National Park
$85 USD per person
Guide and entrance ticket included. This optional stop can be considered for the Central Valley / Peace Lodge route and is not included by default.
Requires an early departure from Manuel Antonio, advance online tickets with a fixed entry time and coordination with park hours. Weather and operational conditions can affect access and visibility. Confirm the complete itinerary and tax treatment with our team.
How to book
1. Send your route and date. Use a Book button to open a WhatsApp request with your chosen route. Include passenger count, guests’ full names, pickup and drop-off addresses, hotel details and flight information when relevant.
2. Confirm your itinerary. Tell us about luggage, special requirements and any sightseeing stops. Our team confirms availability, pickup time and the total quotation before the booking is final.
3. Receive your confirmation. Initial booking confirmations are sent as soon as the trip is sold. Remaining minor details normally follow approximately six weeks before travel.
Payment is available by bank transfer or secure payment link. Banking details are sent separately.
